With more wet weather predicted for early next week, here's a reminder to make sure to clear leaves and debris from catch basins to ensure rain (and melted snow!) can enter the stormwater drain system.
Speaking of rain and snow: As precipitation falls on roofs, streets and lawns, it picks up all kinds of contaminants as it flows untreated into our stormwater drains and on to our creeks, rivers and Commencement Bay.
We all need to do our part to make sure only rain goes down the stormwater drain. Visit cityoffife.org/stormwate to learn more about keeping our waterways safe and free of pollutants.
