Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Puget Sound

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Puget Sound, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Washington students paid $49,776 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,686 more than the $48,090 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 588 students received grants or scholarships totaling $13.8 million and 302 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,666), 2,392 students used grants or scholarships totaling $54.9 million, and 1,100 students took out $9.2 million in federal student loans.
