Military Affairs Forum works to enhance communication and opportunities between the civilian community and defense installations.  During the event we will hold community

updates, networking and listen to a keynote update.

You are invited to join us and South Sound Military and Communities Partnership in welcoming  Col. Scott Humphrey, Commander, Washington Air Defense Sector, JBLM.   Col.

Humphrey will highlight some of WADS missions including : peacetime air sovereignty, strategic air defense, and airborne counterdrug operations in the continental United States

west of the Mississippi River.   WADS detects, identifies, tracks and scramble fighters to intercept unknown or threatening airborne objects as part of its mission to guard America’s

skies 24 hours a day, seven days a week, of nearly 73% of the United States.
