Homeless Housing Program Funding Awards

Pierce  County made approximately $12.9M available in funding from the U.S.  Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Washington State  Department of Commerce, the Tacoma Housing Authority and local Homeless  Document Recording Fee for our annual Homeless Housing Program (HHP)  competitive funding process. These funds are awarded to support the  Homeless Crisis Response System in alignment with the Comprehensive Plan  to End Homelessness and the Continuum of Care’s Five-Year Plan to End  Homelessness. The funding will be used to support programs like Street  Outreach, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Rapid Re-Housing, and  Permanent Supportive Housing, as well as new initiatives like Safe  Parking sites.
