 City of Tacoma Observes Presidents Day on Feb. 21

Administrative offices in the Tacoma Municipal Building complex (747 Market St. and 733 Market St.) and in other City of Tacoma facilities will close on Monday, Feb. 21, in observance of Presidents Day.

The Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) will open as normally scheduled on Monday, Feb. 21, from 8 AM – 5:30 PM, and garbage, recycling and yard/food waste pick-ups will not be affected.

Police and fire personnel, along with animal control personnel, will be on duty on Monday, Feb. 21, as normally scheduled.

Following is a list of other closures and service adjustments relating to the upcoming holiday:

  • All Tacoma Public Library branches will close on Saturday, Feb. 19.
  • The Tacoma Municipal Court (930 Tacoma Ave. S) will close on Monday, Feb. 21.
  • There will be no parking enforcement by City staff on Monday, Feb. 21.
