The City of Tacoma will observe Independence Day on Tuesday, July 4 and all administrative offices will be closed. 

The Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) will also be closed on Tuesday, July 4 and there will be no garbage, recycling, or food/yard waste pickups on that day. All curbside collection pickups throughout the rest of the week will occur one day later, with Friday pickups occurring Saturday. 

While emergency response services will remain operational, there will be no parking enforcement by City staff on Tuesday, July 4.

All Tacoma Public Library locations will be closed on Tuesday, July 4.
